Raven Tales wins 2008 Rosie Award

Last night our animated television series Raven Tales won the 2008 AMPIA award for Best Children's Series.  It's great to see all the hard work that went into our show recognized by our peers in the Film and Television Industry here in Alberta.  So, great job everybody, and thanks for your contribution to our award-winning series!

Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo Industry Panel

I wanted to let you know that I will be joining a panel to discuss the current state of the local creative industry (comics and animation, primarily I believe).  The panel will feature working artists and professionals from the various studios and projects currently underway in Calgary.  I don't know who else will be on the panel, and I couldn't find any info about it on the site but I imagine it will be updated soon.  I do know that the panel will be on Saturday, April 26th from 12-1pm.  Hope to see you there!

Raven Tales Season 02 Announced

We're pleased to announce that we have confirmed financing for the next 6 episodes of Raven Tales, and we will begin production in May 2008.  The new episodes (in no particular order) will be entitled: The GamesRaven and the Great Bear Rock, Dog Days, Baby Blues, Starlight, Star Bright, and Day Dreamin'.  Look for synopses to be posted on the Raven Tales production Blog in the next few days.  In a new twist, we'll be versioning all of the Raven Tales episodes into French, including the original pilot and all of the season one shows.

New web site launched

Ok, so welcome to our new web-enabled project extranet and web site.  It's still a work in progress, but it has many new features which hopefully will translate into a more vibrant, active and informative site for our fans, friends and project partners.  These tools should make it easier to create news updates so hopefully that means they'll be more info, posted more often.

The project wiki's are private for now, but depending on how the information comes together within the project discussions and image galleries (and as Apple updates the software behind the scenes) hopefully we'll be able to provide a better view into our productions as we move forward in 2008.

We'll set up an RSS feed for the site news, and for those of you with access to the project wiki's you can subscribe to be notified of updates there as well.  You can comment on articles as they're posted so by all means let us know what you think of the new site.

Thanks for visiting and be sure to subscribe cuz there'll be lots to talk about this year!
